The photo to the left was taken in front of the original place of business on Carlisle Avenue in York, PA, circa 1961. I’m the fellow on the far left, Mike Sunday, and the other three gentlemen are my dad Neal (who now, at 80 years old, is still involved in the business), my grandfather Hilliard, and my great-grandfather George Sunday. George started at that facility in 1909 and the family operated out of that location until 1983 when the original family business was sold.

In 1987, my wife, Jan, and I started White Rose Memorials out of our home here in Delta, PA. Our business serves York and Lancaster counties in Pennsylvania, and Cecil, Harford and Baltimore counties in Maryland. We are licensed in the state of Maryland (Pennsylvania does not have a licensing program).

I’ve been in and around the monument business my entire life and I’ve done everything from carve and engrave to setting large mausoleums. In fact, I personally set and install every stone I sell.

We have purposely kept our prices very competitive and our quality second to none. We understand that, in most cases, a tombstone purchase is not something you’ve done before. We have a NO PRESSURE approach and will treat everyone as we would want to be treated. For instance, if engraving an existing stone will be cheaper than installing a new one, we will suggest that and give you the cost comparisons to facilitate your decision.

It is our pleasure to be of service to you, even if it’s only to answer a question. Please, feel free to call or email us.
